We're at the stage now with new Australian singer-songwriter Kita Alexander where we could happily listen to a fresh record from her every day of the week. We'll have to make do with the odd track taken from her forthcoming Like You Want To EP for now, though. 'Plain Sight' follows the Fleetwood Mac-ish title-track and the now ubiquitous 'My Own Way' in blending laidback, beachy vibes with a more groove-led style of writing, with infectious drumming and earwormy hooks playing a key role. Alexander's already come a long way from first picking up a guitar to pass the time on her family's outback avocado farm; don't be shocked if she becomes a household name here in 2016. - DC
